EASTBIO established a pilot plant with fully equipped strain preparing and culturing unit, QC unit, fermentation laboratory, pilot fermentation workshop and downstream extraction workshop. It can provide customers leasing service and biological product OEM service.

With the development of modern biotechnology, requirements for biological equipment and/or system are getting higher and higher. EASTBIO dedicates itself to the standardization of biological equipment with reliability in the using of research. Fermenter (bioreactor) is generally the main testing and manufacturing equipment. Its performance and structure must meet the relevant technical requirements. Only equipment that complies with international standards could produce first-class biological products. Equipment systems that internationally certified symbolize "Quality".

EASTBIO has vast experience and strong capacity in large scale pressure vessel fabrication, especially stainless steel vessle and reactor. EASTBIO has accumulated lot of experience in equipment manufacturing and surface treatment (matt polishing, mechanical polishing, electric finishing and acid passivation).

EASTBIO pocessed lasrge area of manufacturing site and equipped with automatic manufacturing machines. At the same time, EASTBIO processed various domestically and internationally recognized pressure vessel manufacturing qualifications.

Cultivation of microbial, animal cells and plant cells, is purely a cultivating techniques that require equipment to be sterile. EASTBIO can meet the above requirements from conventional fermentation to GMP standard. We have invested into automatic steel sheet feeders, automatic tank polishing machines, automatic pipe polishing machines, large flat plate polishing machine (15-meters-long), matt sandblast device, electro-polishing machine, automatic tank welding machine, automatic pipe welding machine, non-destructive X-ray inspection and other special processing equipment to ensure highest product quality.

EASTBIO established Jiangsu Multifunctional Fermentation Equipment Engineering Research Center - a professional research and service organization, under the supports of Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, the People's Government of Zhenjiang City and Zhenjiang Science and Technology Bureau, which covers the entire process of biotechnological industrialization including strain optimization, fermentation, extraction, filling and packing, etc.

Jiangsu Multifunctional Fermentation Equipment Engineering Research Center has invested RMB 40 million Yuan in building a pilot base, which has a 7000 square meters' construction area and comprises of following facilities:

Strain Cultivation Area: designed according to the U.S. FDA standard, there are 4 sterile rooms, 3 culturing rooms, 1 inspection room, and 3 strain preservation rooms;

QC Area: designed according to the U.S. FDA standard, there are 3 sterile laboratories (checking total bacteria counts, disease bacteria, fungi and yeast) and 1 endotoxin room - equipped with imported advanced physical and chemical analysis equipment such as ultra violet analyzer, high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatographic analyzer, infrared spectrometer, atomic absorption spectrometer and so on.

Complete Fermentation Laboratory: with 4 sets of 5L automatic fermenters, 3 sets of 20L-30L two levels automatic fermenters, 1 set of 50L-500L fully automatic pilot fermenters.

Automatic Fermentation Pilot Plant: equipped with 2 sets of 500L seed fermenter, 2 sets of 3000L fermenters, 2 sets of 5000L fermenters, 2 sets of 20KL fermenters and supporting medium preparation and feeding tanks.

Downstream Extraction Equipment: complete sets of equipment for high-speed centrifugal separation, filter press, solvents, hydrolysis, precipitation and drying, etc.

Ancillary Utility System:ecovery, RO water, wastewater treatment, nitrogen extraction, compressed air and steam etc.

Process Automation Laboratory: R&D of bioprocess automation, which involves 13 process parameters, including CER, OUR and so on.

There are 224 employees in the company, and more than 77 technical personnel who engaged in fermentation engineering, biochemical engineering, automation, computer, mechanical engineering and chemical. 23 out of 77 technical personnel are fermentation engineers with 15 years of field experience in antibiotics, vitamins, organic acids, amino acids, yeast industries, etc.

1996 - Professor Zhang and Professor Ding completed 1st fully-automated fermentation system in China.

1997.2.26 - EASTBIO was eastablished.

2000 - Setting up the 1st fermenter manufacturing site.

2002 - Established Oulang Shanghai (Im. & Ex. company).

2003 - CBEZ (Center of Biotechnology Equipment Zhenjiang) was eastablished.

2005 - Established Haihua Biotechnology manufacturing site.

2009 - Setting up the 2nd fermenter manufacturing site.

2010 - Set up 1st pilot scale R & D fermentation base for customer trial, operator training, and scaling up purpose with total investment of USD 7 million.

2017 - Set up the 3rd fermenter manufacturing site.
